This is a crucial role focused on enhancing the API Platform that empowers merchants and partner companies. You will strategize and implement improvements to API usability, communication channels, and internal team collaboration. By bridging the gap between technical capabilities and user needs, you will ensure our API services are secure, scalable, reliable, and user-friendly, directly contributing to merchant success.
Job Responsibility:
Define and communicate the product vision, mission, and strategy for the API Platform and Open API program
Write clear, testable technical specifications covering API contracts and non-functional requirements
Organize existing tasks and define future development initiatives
Conduct competitor research to identify market opportunities
Facilitate communication with API Platform users (external & internal) and drive service improvements based on feedback
Create and maintain product roadmaps
Manage product backlogs to ensure efficient development cycles
Oversee the operations and maintenance of the API Platform
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in web service product management
Strong understanding of API design principles, REST Standards, and modern API best practices
Ability to read and understand technical documents, including API specifications and architecture diagrams
Proven ability to write clear, detailed technical requirements for engineering teams
Experience in creating and prioritizing product backlogs
Experience communicating with engineers to realize product backlog items
Experience identifying and improving issues within service operation processes
Business-level English and Japanese language proficiency
