We are looking for an IT Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategy for technology products and services in Chicago, Illinois. Job Responsibility
Lead sourcing and category planning for IT-related purchases, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, telecommunications, and other technology services
Build strong partnerships with IT leaders and procurement stakeholders to shape category strategies that support business objectives
Evaluate supplier performance, manage vendor relationships, and drive improvements in service quality, cost control, and overall value
Research global, regional, and local market conditions to identify trends, pricing opportunities, and potential sourcing advantages
Establish category performance targets and track results against business goals, making recommendations for continuous improvement
Provide guidance as a procurement subject matter expert, helping teams navigate complex technology purchasing decisions
Encourage a results-driven, collaborative environment that supports innovation, accountability, and high standards of performance
Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including code of conduct expectations
Requirements
5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain roles with a focus on technology-related spend
Strong knowledge of sourcing practices for IT products and services, including hardware, software, cloud, and telecommunications
Experience working cross-functionally with business leaders, procurement partners, and supplier organizations
Ability to analyze market conditions, supplier performance, and cost structures to support strategic decision-making
Background in supply chain management, logistics, or purchase request processes
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams
Familiarity with procurement governance, policy compliance, and vendor performance management
