The San Francisco City Attorney’s Office is looking for an experienced, qualified, and motivated professional to join its Information Technology (IT) Team as an IT Operations Support Administrator I. The Office seeks an IT Operations Support Administrator I to support the modernization, maintenance, and reliability of its IT systems.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with migrating data from on‑premises file shares to cloud‑based repositories
Support the modernization, maintenance, and reliability of its IT systems
Implement management’s technology initiatives by deploying new tools, enhancements, and solutions
Evaluate the current technical environment and identify opportunities to improve processes and technologies
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their technical challenges and guide them toward effective solutions
Improve system efficiency through innovative problem‑solving and solution design
Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and other supporting resources
Work overtime on a rotating schedule to ensure rapid response and recovery in the event of software or hardware issues affecting mission‑critical systems and networks
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in computer science or a closely related field OR equivalent course credits/units
Experience performing analysis, installation and technical support in a network environment may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years)
Completion of a one (1) year State (DAS) Information Technology apprenticeship program equivalent to the City and County of San Francisco’s 1090 IT Operations Support Training Program may substitute for the required education
Nice to have:
Three or more years of experience in the job responsibilities described
Experience with Microsoft 365 including Exchange and Entra ID
Experience with Windows and Active Directory
Familiarity with MacOS, iOS, and Android
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook,Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as Adobe Acrobat
Familiarity with NetDocuments
Experience with PowerShell, Windows command shell scripting, and Python
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of Information Governance, ITIL, and ITSM
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
