Job Description

We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist to support our client, a leading company in data center operations. This full-time position is based onsite at the DataBank facility in Plano, TX, with an employment duration of approximately 10 to 26 weeks.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage physical hardware logistics, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control, ensuring accuracy and proper handling
  • Conduct inspections of incoming equipment, verify details against purchase documentation, and process returns efficiently
  • Maintain precise records of asset tracking and inventory, updating configurations and diagrams as needed
  • Identify and escalate any discrepancies or issues with hardware or shipments to the appropriate teams
  • Keep thorough operational documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Fundamental knowledge of data center infrastructure such as servers, storage, and cabling
  • Basic ability to interpret technical documents, quotes, and bills of materials
  • Prior experience with shipping, receiving, and asset management in a technical environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and responsiveness to on-demand assignments
