Job Description:

Our partner, Hungary's largest agricultural machinery manufacturing company, is looking for a new colleague to work as IT Operations Specialist, who will be focused on coordinating and planning system downtimes with internal and external stakeholders and will help optimize and secure IT systems and ensure smooth, effective communication across teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems (Windows, Linux, and other environments)
  • Automate patch and update processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Take ownership of planning, scheduling, and executing system downtimes for all patch management and maintenance activities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating and communicating with internal teams (such as business units and IT security) and external service providers or partners
  • Negotiate and align downtime windows to minimize business impact, ensuring all stakeholders are proactively informed and involved in decision-making
  • Continuously monitor and analyze systems to detect and resolve issues swiftly
  • Manage incidents (in ITSM tool) and ensure rapid resolution of system outages and security vulnerabilities
  • Ensure timely implementation of security updates to meet compliance and security standards
  • Collaborate with security and development teams to support effective risk mitigation
  • Document all operational processes, downtime plans, and implemented measures
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of operational concepts and SOPs.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in administration and support of company servers and workstations focusing on stability and security
  • Fluency in English, and intermediate level of German
  • Usage of patch automation tools like WSUS, SCCM, Ansible, or similar
  • practical experience with common operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Understanding of IT security fundamentals and best practices in patch management
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
