Job Description

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all technology operations across the organization. This role provides strategic leadership, ensures system reliability and security, and manages day-to-day IT operations. The IT Manager will lead internal IT staff, manage vendors, and ensure alignment between technology and business needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the organization’s IT operations and strategy
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 environment, including security, access, and configuration
  • Manage IT staff, including support personnel and future hires
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, and monitoring
  • Manage vendor relationships (internet, phone systems, software providers)
  • Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes and system access controls
  • Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and reliability
  • Manage IT budget, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Lead IT projects and system improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and configurations
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
  • Communicate IT performance and initiatives to executive leadership
  • Maintain a positive, service-oriented relationship with all staff

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations or systems administration
  • 2+ years in a leadership or senior-level role
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security
  • Experience managing vendors and IT projects
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
