Amentum is seeking an IT Operations and Planning Specialist to support the IT department for a government contract in Kauai, HI. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by performing key planning, coordination and administrative functions. Use professional concepts and company goals to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Generally, work independently without supervision. May lead the work of others. This role will support IT leadership and maintain accurate documentation and reporting to meet contract requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Serves as the IT Operations planner and provides status updates to key leaders
Leads coordination efforts for the cross-functional team to meet contract requirements
Interfaces with internal functional teams and external customers for planning, prioritization, and issue resolution
Interact with and supports customers by applying specific program knowledge to execute program management tasks
Coordinates with internal and external program participants to support customer goals
Assists in researching and collecting data to prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports
Prepares professional-looking spreadsheets, reports, and presentations utilizing Microsoft Office tools
Develops and maintains an organized filing system in compliance with record retention policies
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of company documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Department Internal Procedures (DIPs)
Creates and maintains master files/schedules related to program history, execution, and status for the life of the program
Reviews, evaluates, and provides assessments of technical and non-technical program reports
research specific areas and prepares findings
Reviews and distributes incoming correspondence, drafts responses for review and signature
Assists in tracking and validating contract requirements and status
Assists in generating Purchase Requests (PR), Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPR), and other related purchasing documentation
Coordinates and maintains program documentation including plans, schedules, briefings, and reports
Performs additional duties as directed by the supervisor
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
DOD Approved 8570 IAT Level I Baseline Certification within 6 months of start date
8 years of relevant professional experience with a significant background in IT operations and office administration
Demonstrated experience with Network Operations and Change Management principles
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
