Job Description

The Operation Center Specialist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of our IT systems and batch processing jobs. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and applications, and the timely execution of critical business processes.

Job Responsibility

  • System Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance and availability metrics
  • Identify and troubleshoot system anomalies and performance bottlenecks
  • Respond to system alerts and alarms in a timely and efficient manner
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate technical teams
  • Batch Processing: Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs
  • Ensure the timely and accurate execution of batch processes
  • Investigate and resolve batch job failures
  • Incident Management: Document and track incidents in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensure the engagement of all required teams to resolve incidents

Requirements

  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, databases)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good level of fluency in English
  • Full availability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Applicants must be Swiss residents

Nice to have

  • Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. PagerDuty, NetCool, Grafana)
  • Knowledge of batch processing concepts and tools (e.g. Zena)
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
