About the Role: Our client is an innovative technology organization supporting mission-critical systems and advanced engineering programs. Their team builds and supports cutting-edge technology solutions in a fast-paced environment where IT operations play a key role in enabling employees to do their work efficiently. They are looking for an IT Onboarding Technician to support their internal IT team by managing new-hire onboarding tasks including account setup, hardware provisioning, and access configuration. This role helps ensure new employees receive their equipment and access on time while allowing the IT team to focus on resolving support issues across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals for new employees
  • Create and manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory
  • Configure required software and system access
  • Manage onboarding tickets and ensure tasks are completed on schedule
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of IT support, service desk, or onboarding experience
  • Experience imaging, configuring, and deploying laptops/desktops for new hires
  • Strong experience with Active Directory (account creation, permissions, group membership management)
  • Experience provisioning user accounts, applications, and system access
  • Experience setting up Windows environments, Office 365, and VPN access
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems / ITSM tools
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding requests and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
  • Solid communication and customer support skills
