Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization in Lafayette seeking a hands-on IT Manager with strong experience in Cisco network technologies and technical team leadership. This role is fully onsite and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has a deep understanding of enterprise-level networking, and is ready to lead an infrastructure team to the next level of operational excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and mentor a team of network and systems technicians/engineers
  • Oversee daily IT operations with a focus on Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and security technologies
  • Architect, implement, and maintain core network infrastructure
  • Manage projects related to upgrades, expansions, and system improvements
  • Ensure network reliability, uptime, and best‑practice configurations
  • Collaborate with leadership to align technology with business objectives
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational processes
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and budgeting for the IT department

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on networking experience, with strong expertise in Cisco environments (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless)
  • 2+ years of team leadership or IT management experience
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure technologies including: LAN/WAN, Cisco ASA or Firepower, IOS / NX-OS, Wireless controllers
  • Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills

Nice to have

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
  • Experience managing hybrid or enterprise environments
  • Background in ITIL, change management, or formalized support processes
  • Ability to lead infrastructure modernization initiatives
