Job Description

The IT Modernization Consultant - AI role at NTT DATA requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT modernization, particularly in implementing AI solutions for government agencies. Job Responsibility

  • Supporting assessment, planning, and implementation activities for cloud, data, automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives
  • Applying knowledge of enterprise IT systems, modernization patterns, and IT operations to guide architectural and technical recommendations
  • Leading or contributing to prototypes, sandboxes, and emerging-technology demonstrations, particularly for AI/GenAI workflows in support of government missions
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, evaluate modernization alternatives, and support deployment and integration activities
  • Advising on policy-driven operations, automation opportunities, and service improvements to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Preparing technical documentation, analysis, modernization roadmaps, and implementation materials for government stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting IT Modernization for enterprise-wide organization
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, computer science, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience implementing AI/GenAI solutions for government agency(ies)
  • Cloud service provider (CSP) foundational certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • AI certification supporting applied machine learning or GenAI solution development

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal IT modernization projects, including cloud migration, system upgrades, automation, or enterprise IT enhancements
  • Ability to provide analytical, technical, and consultative support in cross-functional modernization environments
  • Experience in federal environments involving enterprise operations, data engineering, digital transformation, or business process modernization
  • Familiarity with AI/GenAI deployment patterns, automation frameworks, and prototype-to-production workflows used in government settings
  • Certifications such as PMI-ACP, PMP, or additional cloud/AI/DevSecOps credentials
