IT MES Sr Business Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior MES Business Consultant who has strong MES domain knowledge and a deep understanding of how manufacturing processes are supported by MES products. He/she will manage and resolve MES product related issues and support shopfloor teams remotely. He/she will be carrying out Upgrades, Rollouts and Configurations of MES applications as needed. Provide 24x7 standby support for Platinum products.

Job Responsibility

  • MES Issue Resolution: Manage and resolve MES issues from factories to ensure quick response and minimal disruption
  • Remote Support: Assist shopfloor users remotely, maintaining operational flow and supporting production goals
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in process integration and standardization for efficiency
  • Deployment Support: Support deployment teams, troubleshoot production issues, and manage necessary system integrations
  • Developer Collaboration: Partner with developers to ensure compliance with established processes, enhancing MES quality
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate, analyze root causes, and implement effective troubleshooting and maintenance practices
  • 24x7 support in Standby mode

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with a degree in IT, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • Extensive experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and discrete production processes
  • Proficiency in OPC-UA protocol
  • Knowledge of shopfloor devices like PLC, Scanners, Bar-code scanners
  • Knowledge DevOps and monitoring tools such as Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana
  • Good knowledge in troubleshooting .Net-based MES applications
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs
  • Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-organized with an agile mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in intercultural collaboration
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field Strong MES domain knowledge
  • Proven experience in MES systems management and technical troubleshooting
  • .Net/Angular development skills are a plus
  • 5 or more years of experience in the field of MES and Digital Manufacturing
