We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to provide immediate leadership and hands-on technical support for a multi-site organization. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can guide daily IT operations, resolve technical issues directly, and bring structure to a fast-paced environment. The role will work closely with business leaders and team members to keep systems reliable, support end users, and strengthen internal IT ownership during a leadership transition.
Job Responsibility
Direct daily IT activities across infrastructure, user devices, and support services for multiple locations
Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues, providing support across frontline and advanced service needs
Administer user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, permissions, and access management
Partner with the departing IT leader to gather operational knowledge, secure administrative access, and create clear technical documentation
Oversee the Atera platform by supporting monitoring, scripting, automation workflows, and overall tool performance
Maintain the health of Microsoft-based systems, endpoint environments, and core business technology platforms
Manage network components, legacy server resources, patching schedules, backup processes, and overall system uptime
Support cybersecurity and facility-related security technologies such as surveillance and controlled entry systems
Provide day-to-day guidance to an IT team member at the beginning of their career while encouraging effective support practices and technical growth
Communicate priorities, risks, and technical updates clearly to leadership, department teams, and non-technical users
Requirements
At least 5 years of IT experience spanning infrastructure, end-user support, systems administration, and security
Proven success in a hands-on IT leadership or senior generalist role within a small to mid-sized business environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows systems, servers, and endpoint administration
Solid background in networking, backup management, configuration control, and hardware support
Experience supporting IT issues across Tier 1 through Tier 3 levels with minimal ramp-up time
Familiarity with Atera or similar remote monitoring and automation tools, including scripting and workflow support
Ability to document technical environments, manage priorities independently, and adapt quickly in changing situations
