We are seeking a reliable and proactive IT Logistics & Stores Operative to join our team supporting logistics and stores operations at an Onnec client site. This role involves a wide range of stores, stock management, and logistics activities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The position is site-based in Hayes, Middlesex and reports directly to the Client Supervisor.

Job Responsibility

  • Goods In / Goods Out Management: Accurately receive, check, and book all goods in and out of the warehouse
  • Ensure all dispatch items are correctly packaged, labelled, and prepared for shipment
  • Pick and prepare items promptly on request
  • Technical Inventory Handling: Confidently identify and handle technology components including HDDs, SSDs, system boards, memory, and related IT hardware
  • Support asset lifecycle processes, including tracking, labelling, updating records, and coordinating asset movements
  • Store Room & Warehouse Operations: Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised storeroom, ensuring efficient space management
  • Perform general warehouse duties as required to support daily operations
  • Ensure all stock is stored securely and handled in accordance with company procedures
  • Perform physical tasks as part of the role, including a requirement to lift and move boxes containing network hardware equipment multiple times a day
  • Coordination & Communication: Notify engineers and the scheduling team when spare parts or equipment have been dispatched
  • Liaise with suppliers to place orders, chase outstanding deliveries, and resolve issues when required
  • Escalate priority jobs or issues in accordance with operations processes
  • Systems & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation across Onnec and client systems
  • Update reports, stock records, and asset logs to ensure full traceability and audit readiness
  • Compliance & Quality: Adhere to all Onnec and client SLAs, ensuring timely and quality service delivery
  • Ensure all work complies with Onnec, client and manufacturer quality standards
  • Work safely at all times in line with current Health & Safety procedures, Onnec policies, and client site requirements
  • Operational Support & Flexibility: Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritising tasks effectively
  • Support project-based activities and ad hoc operational tasks when required
  • Provide back fill and cross-departmental support to other Onnec teams on campus as needed

Requirements

  • Experience working in a IT logistics environment
  • Understanding of modern computer technologies and operating systems
  • Good knowledge of Asset Management Systems
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to learn processes and adapt to these
  • Familiarity with Network / Servers and associated peripherals

Nice to have

  • Ariba system experience
  • Experience with dealing with suppliers and chasing orders
  • Practical experience of IT
