Job Description

The IT Internship at RBNY aims to provide a practical complement to a formal education in IT. The program aims to help interns develop specific technical skills as well as soft skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. In addition, give interns a taste of different career paths within IT and help them determine what they're most interested in, as well as offer an understanding of how IT functions in a real-world business environment and to expose interns to industry standards and practices. In this case, specifically in the world of professional sports. This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to ongoing IT projects by performing tasks assigned by project managers or team leads
  • Conduct research on new technologies, vendors, or IT strategies that could benefit the organization
  • Create and update documentation for IT systems, procedures, and training materials
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops, and shadow experienced IT professionals to learn from their expertise

Requirements

  • Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and networks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems logically and systematically
  • Document solutions, write reports, and maintain clear documentation for technical procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work well in a team
