Horizontal is seeking an IT Support Intern – who will be responsible for assisting with support for Horizontal IT staff including but not limited to: formatting returned laptops, inventory of office equipment for redeployment and disposal, onboarding new hires with desk preparation and deployment of IT related equipment, level 1 ticket support where assistance is required.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, provisioning and deprovisioning accounts
Assist with help desk tickets
Maintain IT asset inventory
Assist with user account hygiene
Assist with security awareness training administration
Support vulnerability management
Help document standard operating procedures for repeatable IT tasks
Requirements:
Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts
Experience working with technology
Interest in cybersecurity, compliance, or IT infrastructure
Comfortable working with documentation
writing, formatting, organizing, version-tracking
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Nice to have:
Exposure to any of: Azure/Entra ID, Okta, MDM platforms, endpoint security tools
Scripting basics (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for potential automation of repetitive tasks
