We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a proactive and customer focused Temporary First Line Support Technician to join their IT service team based in Farnham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for resolving IT issues quickly and professionally.
Job Responsibility:
Acting as the first point of contact for IT support via phone, email, and ticketing system
Troubleshooting and resolving first‑line technical issues (hardware, software, connectivity)
Logging all incidents accurately and prioritising tickets appropriately
Supporting users with Microsoft 365, password resets, and basic account tasks
Setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, and peripherals
Escalating issues to second‑line support when needed
Providing excellent customer service with clear communication throughout
Requirements:
Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role is desirable but not essential
Strong understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
Confident communicator with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to problem‑solve and work efficiently under pressure
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
