Job Description

Robert half is seeking an experienced IT Generalist to support, assess, and improve an IT environment with an industrial parts supplier based in Kirkland, WA. This role will focus on understanding existing processes, strengthening documentation, evaluating systems with vendors, and implementing cost-effective improvements. This position is a 3 month contract opportunity that is 100% Onsite.

Job Responsibility

  • Assess current IT processes, systems, and workflows to understand how technology is being used across the organization
  • Review and document existing IT infrastructure, including: Microsoft licenses and servers, Landline and cellular phone systems
  • Work alongside vendo teams and review IT infrastructure as supported by vendor and offshore teams
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive IT documentation to support operational consistency and scalability
  • Evaluate current systems and tools, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and make cost-effective recommendations for improvement
  • Implement approved recommendations based on findings and assessments
  • Partner directly with internal teams to ask clarifying questions, gather accurate information, and ensure alignment with business needs
  • Support a Microsoft-centric IT environment and ensure systems align with organizational standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Generalist or similar hands-on IT assessment role
  • Strong background in documentation, including creating and maintaining technical and process documentation
  • Experience reviewing current systems, performing assessments, and delivering clear recommendations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-centric environments (Microsoft licensing, servers, and related tools)
  • Experience working with vendors and third-party IT support teams, including offshore resources
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple areas of responsibility
