Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced IT Field Technician to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that involves supporting multiple branches in the surrounding area. The role requires a mix of on-site work at the main office and travel to local branches, offering an opportunity to engage directly with users and resolve technical issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical support to multiple branch locations, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Perform troubleshooting tasks such as password resets, printer problem resolution, and basic network diagnostics
  • Set up and configure computers and associated hardware for end users
  • Ensure excellent customer service by managing user inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Travel to branch locations within the designated area to provide on-site IT assistance
  • Maintain and update hardware systems as necessary to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement solutions and improve processes
  • Document technical issues and their resolutions for reference and reporting purposes
  • Manage inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper allocation across branches
  • Follow company protocols and guidelines while addressing technical challenges

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with users
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues, including printers, computers, and network connectivity
  • Familiarity with performing password resets and basic troubleshooting tasks
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the designated area
  • Ability to set up and configure computer systems and peripherals
  • Basic knowledge of network and hardware systems
  • Previous experience in IT support or a similar role
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
