Job Description:

Would you like to be part of Vital Energi’s Strategy of Growth? If so, we’re looking for a talented IT Field Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Blackburn with support to sites. You’ll play a key role in Designing and installing control’s networks working closely with our Field based controls team. The purpose of this role is to assist the IT Infrastructure manager with the continual smooth running of the IT systems. You will provide technical support onsite and remotely.

Job Responsibility:

  • 1st 2nd Line Troubleshooting
  • Reviewing tender specifications, designing basic networks
  • Visiting sites across the UK, to support and install IT Infrastructure
  • Ownership of BMS IT Infrastructure
  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers, Internal controls team and clients
  • Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
  • Technical documentation creation
  • Out of hours work will be required

Requirements:

  • Certified IT Technician would be an advantage (Comptia A+, Network+, Security+)
  • A full UK driving licence
  • End user compute (windows 11)
  • Server Knowledge – 2016,2019,2022
  • Firewall – Cisco Meraki, Fortinet
  • Networking knowledge – VLAN’s, VPN’s SDWAN
  • Security – Key security concepts relating to Comptia Security+
  • Basic Information Security Experience (1 Years)

  • Responsible for the checking and the correct management of the Project documentation, of the amendments and/or additions to the same
  • Cooperates with the Site Manager and the Construction Manager in verifying the feasibility of the construction schedule on the ground of the actual availability at Site of technical documentation and materials
  • Ensures any addition or change to the technical documents according to Field requirements and he is responsible for reviewing of site technical queries, including field sketches and modifications to any project engineering drawings, as required
  • Executes, in coordination with Contractor Home Office, any modifications and additions to Project documents, providing for final “as-built” revision of the same
