The IT ERP Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and executing enterprise resource planning (ERP) projects across finance, supply chain, operations, HR, and other business functions. This role ensures successful deployment, enhancement, and integration of ERP systems by coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing project scope, and aligning technology solutions to business requirements. The position combines strong project management discipline with deep ERP functional and technical knowledge.
Job Responsibility:
Lead end‑to‑end ERP implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and quality targets
Define project roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, resource requirements, and budgets
Coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support
Facilitate communication between IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators
Translate business requirements into ERP configurations, workflows, integrations, and data models
Oversee design decisions relating to modules such as Finance (AP/AR/GL), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, HR/Payroll, CRM, and Reporting
Manage system integrations with third-party applications (API, EDI, and middleware)
Ensure proper data migration processes, cleansing, validation, and cutover execution
Identify project risks, define mitigation plans, and ensure escalation processes are followed
Maintain documentation including project plans, change requests, test scripts, training materials, and SOPs
Support SOX, audit, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements relevant to ERP operations
Engage business leaders to prioritize features, manage expectations, and ensure solution alignment with strategic goals
Lead UAT cycles, training sessions, and go‑live readiness assessments
Coordinate change management activities to drive adoption and minimize business disruption
Provide oversight for ERP support processes, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor system usage and performance, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and automate manual processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of experience managing ERP projects or large-scale IT implementations
Strong understanding of ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Infor, Epicor)
Demonstrated experience with project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
Solid knowledge of business processes across finance, supply chain, operations, or HR
Strong ability to gather requirements, build documentation, and manage cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills
Nice to have:
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification
Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, ETL, EDI, and middleware
Familiarity with change management frameworks (ADKAR, Prosci)
Understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and ERP audit controls
Experience leading multi‑site rollouts or global ERP deployments
