The IT Director oversees the organization’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. They manage IT operations, infrastructure, and security, while leading a team of professionals to implement innovative solutions. Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The IT Director also drives digital transformation initiatives and supports the organization’s technological growth and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all technology operations, policies, and systems to support company strategies and improve efficiency
Empower and train direct reports to manage systems and tasks independently
Manage up to 8 direct reports (plus their teams), providing training, clear instructions, and consistent project oversight
Conduct weekly 1:1s, team huddles, and staffing reviews
set hiring goals and maintain a skills matrix
Lead with empathy and accountability—support staff while driving performance and results
Anticipate conflicts, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources effectively
Communicate clearly—delegate down, report up, and keep leadership aligned
Ensure effective delegation, accountability, and follow-through on results
Maintain organized Asana boards, with a maximum of 50 active tasks
Review and QA deliverables to ensure accuracy and readiness before implementation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
At least 8-10 years of experience in IT management, with a strong background in IT infrastructure, systems, and security
Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring IT teams
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management
In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, and enterprise software solutions
Expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and IT governance
Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or similar
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Certifications (preferred but not required): PMP (Project Management Professional), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or other relevant certifications
Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can enhance organizational performance
A computer with dual monitor setup is required
Computer with at least 8GB of RAM
Must have at least 25 MBPS internet speed
