The Market IT Director assists the Region Chief Information Officer in the top management of CommonSpirit Health's information technology resources and oversees the integration of multiple mission-critical organization information technology processes and strategies as assigned by the Region CIO. Coverage spans all healthcare locations within a Region's Market, potentially supporting different Leadership and End User teams. Responsibility crosses various functional units within the organization, but is focused particularly at the Market level.
Job Responsibility:
Assists the Region Chief Information Officer in the top management of CommonSpirit Health's information technology resources
Oversees the integration of multiple mission-critical organization information technology processes and strategies
Provides IT oversight and leadership representation for the organization
Supervises staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline and termination procedures
Oversees day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions in the respective assigned function(s)/unit(s)/program(s)
Responsible for the support and alignment of established intake processes, market growth strategy planning, governance, standards within the supported market
Engaged and involved in all strategic planning initiatives within the market
Manage growth strategy as it relates to the market that is relative to Information Technology
Communicates clearly and consistently
managing expectations of the market as it relates to IT changes
Oversee Strategic academic and operational partnerships relative to Information Technology
Provides back up coverage for Region CIO
Manages the activities of multiple assigned CommonSpirit Health integrated processes or designated strategies
Ensures alignment with internal departments, executives, external organizations and public representatives
Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and reports
Manages assigned budget and assists with the annual budget development process
Assists in planning and the development of short and long term goals
Lead and be accountable for all market IT service delivery, including prioritization of national team efforts
Coordinate with various CommonSpirit Health teams to ensure that all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, regulatory agencies, and legal requirements
Coordinate with IT infrastructure support teams to maintain a stable environment
Work collaboratively with, but not limited to, Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Facilities, Supply Chain, CyberSecurity, Physician Enterprise staff and leadership
Requirements:
Bachelors degree and 7 years’ of relevant technical and business experience
6 years’ Information Technology Leadership experience required
3-5 years Information Technology Leading multiple facilities/ large market or region
Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders required
Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
Nice to have:
Experience in departmental budgeting, personnel management and project management
Experience managing operational and capital budgets and resource allocations
Skills in Microsoft Office product suite or equivalent
Possess industry knowledge and stays abreast of key issues, trends and directions in Healthcare IT
