Our client is looking for an IT Data & Automation Specialist to support the rapid adoption of automation, cloud technologies, robotics, AI, and data analytics across Europe’s waste management and remediation sector. In this role, you will lead key initiatives in data structuring, automation, cloud integration, and digital enablement. Working closely with an innovative ICT team, you will help build reliable, future?proof systems that enhance safety, boost operational efficiency, and prepare the organisation for an AI?enabled future.
Job Responsibility:
Develop automation scripts that simplify and optimise key business processes
Collect, organise and analyse data to support operational decision making and improving workflows
Support the organisation’s AI transition by identifying suitable use cases and validating possible solutions with central AI teams
Train internal teams to adopt and leverage digital and AI enhanced tools
Maintain, scale and secure automated workflows, ensuring reliable performance across environments
Collaborate with IT and business teams to align technical solutions with operational needs
Connect different digital systems to automate recurring, business critical tasks
Help design dashboards and monitoring tools that guide prevention, optimisation and strategic choices
Contribute to longterm digital transformation initiatives at both local and European levels
Requirements:
Ambition to further develop your career in IT automation, data, cloud and digital transformation
Proven experience in a similar role
Your strengths are automation scripting, cloud data workflows, and data integration
Working experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript, GCP/BigQuery, AWS, Azure, Looker Data Studio, Apps Script or Google Sheets API is essential
Strong problem?solving and collaborative communication skills
Strong communication skills in English and Dutch or French
Nice to have:
Past experience in the collective services industry is nice to have
