Job Description

We are looking for an Information Technology Co-Op to join our IT department. The IT Co-Op will assist in maintaining our compute infrastructure including servers, workstations, and related networks. Your responsibilities will include assisting in monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware. To be successful in this role, you should have good troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems. Ultimately, you will help to ensure our software, hardware, servers and networks run smoothly and our end users have the best possible experience using our compute systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor and assist in maintaining the network infrastructure
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Assist in installing and maintaining workstations, servers, devices and firewalls
  • Train new system users
  • Assist in maintaining a current CMDB
  • Provide daily end user support
  • Monitor the performance of servers, software and hardware
  • Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications
  • Update technical documentation

Requirements

  • Must be located in the Cleveland, OH area
  • US Citizenship
  • Current coursework in a Bachelor's degree track in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
  • At least Sophomore standing at an accredited college or university
  • Working level skills with multiple Operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networks
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Industry certifications in relevant technologies
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management
  • Good knowledge of at least one scripting language
  • Experience creating and maintain both technical and non-technical documentation
  • Experience in building and maintaining a High-Performance Computing environment to support advance AI initiatives
  • Knowledge of system security techniques
