And we're just getting started; especially in the UK. Boeing Global Services IT is currently seeking an experienced IT Business Partner (ITBP) to join our team in Belfast, UK. This role primarily focuses on partnering closely with business leaders and functions by delivering Digital Solutions that drive business success. The ITBP acts as a trusted advisor to business line executives and managers, ensuring seamless execution of current contracts and alignment of IT initiatives with business needs. This role can be based in Belfast or Bristol (but if Bristol 50% of travel will be required to Belfast). In addition to the core IT Business Partner responsibilities, this role also involves overseeing related IT projects and programmes to ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with strategic objectives. Working closely with performing organizations, the ITBP will help prioritise statements of work, and deliveries to the business, on time and with first time quality.

Job Responsibility

  • Serves as a key liaison between the business or function, to understand priorities and needs, developing strategies to ensure business objectives are met
  • Collaborates directly with business or function to understand problems or initiatives and represents the business or function within Boeing IT to engage the right resources, explores alternatives and help deploy the right solution with first time quality
  • Develops and executes communication plans, including status to leadership and to business or function stakeholders
  • Identifies risks and impacts and coordinates with business or function to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments
  • Provides input and lessons learned on IT processes, procedures, tools and techniques, and ensures alignment to quality management solutions for the business or function
  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, analysts, and vendors to deliver business outcomes

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Business Partner or similar role
  • Extensive experience with business units to deliver IT-enabled business outcomes
  • Leading or supporting organizational change initiatives
  • Experience in driving adoption of new technologies or processes
  • Successful delivery of IT projects that meet business requirements
  • Experience managing budgets and resources
  • Managing relationships with external technology vendors and service providers
  • Working effectively with diverse teams and different cultures
  • Identifying and mitigating risks related to IT projects and business operations

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to influence and lead cultural change in a complex organisational environment
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Agile, or Change Management (e.g., Prosci) are highly desirable
