Job Description:

The IT Business Intermediate Analyst is responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way. The role is part of Citi’s Third Party Source to Pay Technology team responsible for development and implementation of a global data warehouse system and analytical/reporting tools.

Job Responsibility:

formulate and define systems scope and project objectives through research activities
analyze business client needs and document requirements by utilizing business analysis procedures and concepts
assess applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures or precedents
identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
work as a team to accomplish objectives and define and make recommendations for enhancements
participate in validation and testing activities to identify system problems
perform system analysis & design and implement solutions to meet complex business requirements
work collaboratively with business stakeholders and other team members to document requirements and translate into technical specifications
analyze different data sources
create source to target mapping & create data models
provide support for ad-hoc reporting and analytics
create new reports utilizing tools like MicroStrategy and Tableau
lead/participate in weekly production support related calls to review support tickets
provide user communications for system issues
participate in implementation of new analytical tools including POCs and documenting results
demonstrate ethical judgment and compliance

Requirements:

3-5 years of relevant experience
experience in re-engineering, data analysis and project management support
exhibit strong communications and interpersonal skills
excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
knowledge of business systems and industry standards
strong knowledge about data warehousing concepts and principle and ETL process
hands on experience with reporting tools like MicroStrategy, Cognos, Tableau
strong SQL writing skills in Oracle or equivalent relational database platform
knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite applications and different modules (AP, PO, Requisition, EGL) including table structures and data flows is a plus
prior experience working in Citi in a similar environment and familiarity with Citi’s financial systems
