Job Description:

Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a part-time IT & AV Support Specialist to join the Information Services team providing a high-quality, responsive support service to all University staff and students.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver front-line support for the deployment, maintenance and use of all computers and classroom-based, audio-visual equipment
  • Provide a high-quality, customer-focused service for students, academic and teaching staff, and professional services staff

Requirements:

  • Significant previous experience of providing second-line support
  • Working with specialist technical teams to provide solutions to users from diverse cultural backgrounds in highly demanding environments
  • Solid and demonstrable understanding of MS Windows and Networking gained in a corporate environment
  • Strong self-motivated approach
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Competence to deliver a first-time fix
