As an IT & AV Operations Engineer at Vanta, you’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless technology experience for employees—both in-office and remote. The Corporate Engineering team ensures every Vantan has the tools, systems, and support they need, from day-one onboarding through day-to-day operations. We’re looking for a hybrid IT Operations Engineer with a strong emphasis on in-office AV systems, internal events, conference room technology, and workplace tech reliability to join our San Francisco team (in-office three days per week). In this role, you’ll split your time between core IT operations and owning the design, support, and continuous improvement of our office AV experience. You’ll be a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working directly with end users and takes pride in creating reliable, low-friction meeting and collaboration experiences. You’ll join a small, highly collaborative team that values ownership, clear communication, and excellent customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Own the setup, maintenance, and day-to-day reliability of in-office AV systems, conference rooms, and collaboration tools
Serve as the primary point of contact for AV support during meetings, internal events, and other high-visibility moments
Design, standardize, and document reliable conference room and hybrid collaboration experiences across Vanta offices
Plan, test, and operate AV for internal events such as all-hands, exec meetings, offsites, and hybrid events
Provide high-quality IT support for Vanta’ns in-office and remotely, including onboarding/offboarding, account provisioning, and hardware management
Administer and support core IT systems such as Google Workspace, Okta, Jamf, and macOS devices, with an eye toward security, reliability, and scale
Partner closely with Workplace, People, Security, and Exec teams on office technology needs, upgrades, and new buildouts
Create clear documentation, runbooks, and checklists for IT and AV workflows to improve consistency and reduce friction
Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent IT or workplace technology issues
Requirements:
Communicate clearly and confidently, translating technical issues into approachable, actionable guidance for non-technical users
Deliver thoughtful, timely support with a strong focus on the employee experience—both in-office and remote
Bring hands-on experience with IT fundamentals (SaaS administration, identity/access management, macOS support) and practical AV troubleshooting
Stay calm and effective during live, high-visibility meetings and events when issues arise
Collaborate well across People, Workplace, Security, and Exec teams, building trusted partnerships
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities
Take initiative and operate effectively with minimal oversight
Ability to work from our San Francisco office in a hybrid setting (3–4 days per week)
Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
