Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated IT Assistant to join our client’s team in Des Moines, Iowa. This contract-to-hire role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting end users, and being hands-on with day-to-day IT operations. In this role, you’ll play an important part in keeping systems running smoothly and providing a great technology experience across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide frontline technical support by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues
  • Set up, configure, and deploy new workstations, laptops, devices, and peripherals
  • Respond to and resolve service desk tickets in a timely and customer-focused manner
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures within the IT knowledge base
  • Support system updates, upgrades, and technology migrations in partnership with the IT team
  • Assist with Active Directory tasks, including user account creation, updates, and access management
  • Monitor and help maintain endpoint security using tools such as Microsoft Intune
  • Support Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Track, manage, and maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware and assets
  • Deliver friendly, reliable, and attentive support to employees at all levels

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and basic network issues
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365
  • Knowledge of tools like Windows Intune for device and security management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Proven ability to manage service desk tickets efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN / GREENCARD HOLDER
