Job Description:

IT Asset Manager position managing IT hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance, and optimizing lifecycle costs

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain an IT asset management strategy and governance framework
Manage the inventory of IT assets including laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, and software licenses
Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to forecast asset needs and manage budgets
Implement and maintain asset tracking systems and tools
Monitor asset performance and usage to optimize lifecycle and reduce costs
Coordinate asset audits and reconciliation processes
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts related to IT assets
Provide regular reports and dashboards on asset status, utilization, and compliance
Support onboarding and offboarding processes by ensuring timely provisioning and recovery of IT assets

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in IT asset management or related role
Strong understanding of IT hardware and software lifecycle management
Experience with asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, SCCM)
Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to have:

ITIL certification or equivalent
Experience with cloud asset management
Familiarity with financial planning and budgeting for IT assets
