Job Description

The IT Asset Management Lead will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle management of all IT hardware and software assets within Airbus India, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and supporting operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies, processes, and procedures in line with Airbus global standards and local regulations
  • Manage IT Assets, including task assignment, performance monitoring, and professional development
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement and deployment to maintenance, upgrades, and disposal, ensuring accurate inventory records and documentation
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets to ensure data integrity and compliance with licensing agreements and company policies
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, legal, and IT operations teams to optimize asset utilization, reduce costs, and mitigate risks associated with IT assets
  • Manage software licenses, including tracking usage, ensuring compliance, negotiating renewals, and identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Implement and manage ITAM tools and systems to automate processes and improve data accuracy and reporting capabilities
  • Generate regular reports on asset inventory, utilization, compliance, and lifecycle status for stakeholders and senior management
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for ITAM processes and tools
  • Provide guidance and training to end-users and IT staff on ITAM best practices and policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Asset Management
  • Proven experience with ITAM tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Ivanti)
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe) and hardware asset management best practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as ITIL, CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager), or CAMP (Certified Asset Management Professional) are highly preferred
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they relate to asset management is a plus
