We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to lead the support, configuration, and optimization of our core business and clinical application ecosystem. This role oversees a team responsible for maintaining 100+ enterprise and departmental applications, including major EHR platforms, operational systems, and integrated workflows. You will partner closely with clinical leadership, operations, revenue cycle, and vendors to ensure system reliability, performance, and alignment to organizational needs.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily support, configuration, and enhancement of key applications, including 6–10 major enterprise systems
Serve as the final escalation point for complex application issues, troubleshooting, and performance challenges
Lead system upgrades, configuration changes, workflow enhancements, and optimization initiatives across clinical and operational environments
Manage a team of application analysts/technicians through task delegation, project planning, performance reviews, and escalation routing
Partner with clinical, operational, billing, and revenue cycle teams to identify workflow gaps and translate needs into system improvements
Maintain and optimize EHR platforms (NextGen, Epic, or similar), ensuring stability, usability, compliance, and integration readiness
Support healthcare integrations such as HL7 interfaces, e‑prescribing, labs, imaging, and patient portal functionality
Own vendor coordination, including troubleshooting escalations, upgrade planning, and contract-driven performance expectations
Maintain system documentation, release notes, SOPs, and application roadmaps
Drive best practices in governance, change management, and cross‑team communication
Requirements:
5+ years supporting healthcare or enterprise applications
experience with EHR systems strongly preferred
Hands-on expertise with NextGen, Epic, or comparable platforms
2+ years of leadership experience guiding application support teams
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, scheduling, patient management, and revenue cycle processes
Experience managing system integrations (HL7, API-based, batch feeds, etc.)
Proficiency in troubleshooting, configuration, documentation, and application lifecycle management
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and technical teams
