We are looking for an IT Administrator to support day-to-day technology operations for employees and office environments in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable systems, assisting users with technical issues, and helping strengthen infrastructure, security, and overall IT service quality. The ideal candidate brings hands-on systems administration experience, sound troubleshooting ability, and a proactive approach to improving technology performance.
Job Responsibility
Deliver timely technical support to onsite and remote employees by resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Prepare, deploy, maintain, and retire end-user devices while ensuring systems remain properly configured and up to date
Administer core network components, including firewalls, switches, and wireless equipment, to support stable and secure operations
Track system health, network availability, and security conditions, and address issues before they affect business operations
Manage Windows Server services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and shared file environments
Support Azure-based resources and oversee cloud systems used for business and production needs
Strengthen IT security through patching, endpoint protection, access governance, and routine control reviews
Maintain accurate inventories of technology assets and oversee software licensing compliance
Support physical access and environmental protections for IT-controlled spaces, including server rooms and restricted areas
Recommend and implement practical upgrades that improve infrastructure reliability, efficiency, and security
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
At least 3 years of experience in IT administration, systems support, or infrastructure operations
Working knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft Windows 10 environments
Experience managing networks, including TCP/IP fundamentals, switching, firewall administration, and wireless connectivity
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based system support
Understanding of endpoint management, security controls, and routine troubleshooting practices
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
