Job Description

We are looking for a versatile Part time IT Administrator to provide hands-on technical support for an onsite team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving a wide range of infrastructure and end-user issues while serving as a dependable local IT presence. The role will support daily operations on a PART TIME BASIS (20 HOURS/WEEK) 8AM-12-PM OR 9AM-12PM. Responsible for maintaining core systems and network components, and contribute to additional technical projects as business needs evolve.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver onsite technical support for employees by resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
  • Administer Windows-based environments, including user accounts, system access, and routine server support activities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure such as switches, firewalls, and related equipment to support reliable operations
  • Provide support for endpoint devices and desktop systems, including Windows 10 workstations and Dell hardware
  • Assist with Active Directory administration, including account updates, permissions, and basic policy-related tasks
  • Support technologies used across the environment, including Citrix platforms and other business-critical systems
  • Monitor recurring technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements to strengthen day-to-day IT performance
  • Contribute to infrastructure-related initiatives and operational projects when support demand allows, including work tied to evolving internal systems or processes

Requirements

  • Experience providing broad IT support across desktop, server, and network environments
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server administration
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10 and common end-user technology issues
  • Familiarity with network hardware and security platforms, including switches and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience supporting Dell systems and other standard enterprise hardware
  • Exposure to Citrix technologies within a business environment
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite setting and manage priorities with minimal supervision
