Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced IT Administrator to join our team in Rochester, New York. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting both scientific and manufacturing staff. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in networking, systems administration, and hands-on troubleshooting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, including Meraki and Cato SD solutions
  • Troubleshoot and manage Azure virtual networks to ensure seamless operations
  • Administer backup systems, with a focus on Acronis technologies
  • Provide support for Citrix environments used for application delivery
  • Offer technical assistance for Agilent systems, including database backend and Citrix front end
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues across networks and systems
  • Collaborate with scientific and manufacturing teams to deliver hands-on IT support
  • Address operational and IT challenges as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Manage service desk tickets efficiently and provide timely resolutions
  • Implement and support Active Directory and Windows 10 systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems support
  • Proficiency in Meraki networking and familiarity with SD solutions (Cato preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure virtual network management
  • Knowledge of backup system administration, ideally with Acronis
  • Expertise in supporting Citrix environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across both network and systems domains
  • Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing or laboratory setting
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities
