We are looking for a skilled IT Accountant/Manager/Director to join our team in Bayport, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee the management and optimization of financial applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership skills to drive process improvements and maintain robust internal controls.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee master data management and ensure accurate configuration of financial applications
  • Design and implement new application processes and enhance existing systems to meet organizational needs
  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions, controls, and exception processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Prepare and manage data for mass uploads during new implementations or ongoing updates
  • Plan and coordinate application release processes, including resource allocation and project timelines
  • Interpret release notes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document testing approaches and use cases
  • Provide updates to governance committees and secure necessary approvals for system implementations
  • Lead the review and resolution of discrepancies in purchase orders, invoices, and data integration failures
  • Develop and enforce policies that strengthen internal controls and align with organizational goals
  • Support project planning and execution for application integrations and enhancements

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in accounting functions, including month-end close activities and trial balance preparation
  • Strong understanding of process controls and the ability to implement and monitor them effectively
  • Proficiency in financial applications such as Coupa and expertise in master data management
  • Experience with application programming and enterprise application integration
  • Familiarity with shared services models and purchase order processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Strong leadership and project management skills to oversee complex application enhancements and integrations
