Job Description:

Responsible for answering phone calls and taking orders for room service in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. This role requires strong communication skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The Order Taker plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive an exceptional in-room dining experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Answer phone calls or in-room dining orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Take note of any special requests, preferences, or dietary restrictions, and communicate this information clearly to the kitchen and delivery staff
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the room service menu
  • Enter orders accurately into the order management system and confirm all details with guests
  • Relay orders to the kitchen promptly and ensure delivery staff are informed
  • Address special requests from guests
  • Track the progress of orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure all room service orders are correctly charged to guest accounts

Requirements:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in In-Room Dining, Guest Experience, or a Call Center environment
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a luxury hotel or similar high-end hospitality setting is preferred
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and work effectively in an office or call center setting
  • Ability to stay highly organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with Micros or similar POS systems
  • Current work authorization in Mexico
