We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer – IPVPN to support and monitor multiple IP networks and platforms, ensuring high-quality service delivery through effective monitoring, diagnostics, and first-line fault resolution. This role operates within a 24/7 shift environment and is critical to maintaining network stability and service continuity across Vodafone infrastructure.
Job Responsibility
Monitor IP networks proactively for alarms and service disruptions
Perform triage of incidents and create tickets based on impact and risk assessment
Execute first-line diagnostics and resolve faults where possible
Escalate complex issues in line with defined customer and internal processes
Support routine infrastructure maintenance and change implementation activities
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to restore services efficiently
Contribute to fault reports and provide technical insights for continuous improvement
Support introduction of new technologies, services, and solutions
Requirements
Experience of 2–4 years in telecommunications or related technical roles
Basic understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, and MPLS
Working knowledge of Ethernet, IP, and data technologies (e.g. Cisco, Alcatel, Juniper, Nortel)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies
Familiarity with IT service management processes
