We are seeking a Fixed Network Planning Specialist to lead the planning, assessment and design of fixed network services across multiple technologies and vendors. The role focuses on delivering scalable, efficient and high-quality network solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support service innovation, operational stability and future network evolution.
Job Responsibility
Contribute to technical assessment, planning and design of fixed network solutions aligned with product catalogue, strategy and architecture
Collaborate with senior colleagues to gather and analyse business and customer requirements for technical feasibility
Support technical migrations and solution delivery in partnership with technology teams and stakeholders across business and operations
Act as a technical representative within project teams, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and customer expectations
Develop low-level designs and produce comprehensive solution documentation
Prepare annual planning activities based on business forecasts, ensuring optimal resource allocation within budget constraints
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in fixed network and enterprise planning within a service provider environment
Strong knowledge of fixed network technologies, including planning, implementation and service roll-out
Experience in IP networking and telecom environments, with an understanding of operational practices
Ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable technical solutions
Degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
Professional certification such as CCNP, CCIP or equivalent in IP networking domain
Solid understanding of WAN access technologies (xDSL, Ethernet, SDH), IP networking and security networking
Advanced knowledge of IP backbone protocols including RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, VPN technologies and Quality of Service
Familiarity with programming or automation tools such as Python, C++ or Ansible
Working knowledge of data centre technologies (e.g. Cisco Nexus, ACI), virtualisation and cloud platforms is advantageous
