Job Description

The leading agriculture consulting and R&D firm of Southeast Asia is looking for a Junior/Senior IPM Specialist to further strengthen our Vietnam team of agriculture consultants supporting farmers in improving their agriculture practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide knowledge and agricultural technologies to vegetable farmers
  • Support IPM project activities, such as set up demo crops for IPM, data collection, and training of farmers
  • Support other project activities as assigned
  • Implementation of assigned tasks of Fresh Studio projects in the Lam Dong
  • Data collection from farmers and other parties involved in IPM project
  • Setup and monitor IPM demo crops
  • Provide technical support for farmers, customers
  • Provide training for farmers and farmer groups
  • Arrange field days to share new knowledge and technologies with local farmers and other interested people
  • Support farmers in record-keeping
  • Provide, support and guide installation to ensure farmers effectively operate agricultural technologies
  • Perform other required tasks

Requirements

  • Graduated from college/university of Horticulture/Agriculture (BSc)
  • At least 2 years’ experience with IPM, vegetable production
  • Good communication skills (with local farmers)
  • Basic Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Honest, reliable
  • Experience in the IPM, indoor vegetable production, experience in the natural enemies is an advantage
  • Good Vietnamese speaking and writing skills

Nice to have

  • Good English communication and writing skills is an advantage
  • A strong passion for learning and developing new agriculture technologies and knowledge and making them available to farmers
  • Enjoys a practical, enthusiastic, and transparent working environment
