Job Description:

Axiom is seeking an IP & Software Licensing Counsel with experience in technology and software licensing, open-source compliance, and IP strategy to join our growing legal network. This role is ideal for junior to mid-level legal professionals with strong technical licensing backgrounds and experience supporting innovation-driven companies in biotech, industrial, automotive, or high-tech spaces.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate technology, software, and IP licensing agreements, including SaaS, cloud, and standards-based licenses
  • Support clients on IP strategy, software compliance, open-source licensing, and commercial contract matters
  • Assist with IP portfolio management, license audits, royalty tracking, and monetization initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to align licensing strategy with technology development and commercialization goals
  • Support cross-border or multi-jurisdictional licensing projects when needed

Requirements:

  • JD or equivalent, with active U.S. bar membership in good standing
  • 2–7 years of experience in technology, software, or IP licensing
  • Experience working with biotech, industrial, automotive, or high-tech companies, including familiarity with SaaS, cloud, or AI/data science technologies
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, product-focused environments

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience at Danaher, Medtronic, GE, Accenture, or other innovation-driven industrial/tech firms
  • Exposure to AI, data science, connected devices, or software licensing ecosystems
  • Familiarity with patent, copyright, and trade secret issues in tech-driven businesses
