As an IP Reputation Specialist, you will proactively monitor and manage the reputation of our IP address blocks, prevent blacklisting, detect abuse (spam, malware, DDoS, etc.), and ensure optimal email deliverability. You will also play a critical role in supporting clients with IP reputation issues and implementing reputation monitoring tools and best practices.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and manage the reputation of IP ranges used within our infrastructure
Track DNS-based blacklists (DNSBL/RBL), such as Spamhaus, SORBS, URIBL, etc., and take appropriate action when listed
Detect and mitigate spam, botnets, DDoS, and other abuse incidents
Improve and maintain email deliverability across our platforms
Analyze and respond to abuse reports, maintaining documentation and resolution workflows
Provide technical support to clients regarding IP reputation issues
Collaborate with DevOps and Software teams to improve automation and reporting around abuse handling
Manage and configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS, and other email authentication protocols
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in network/system administration, cybersecurity, or related fields
Hands-on experience with IP reputation monitoring and email deliverability
Strong understanding of SMTP, SMTP relays, WHOIS, rDNS, PTR, and abuse handling processes
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies
Familiarity with major blacklist services (Spamhaus, Barracuda, SpamCop, etc.)
Proficiency in Linux and command-line tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good command of written and technical English
Nice to have:
Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus
Experience in the hosting or ISP industry
Experience working with abuse automation or ticketing systems
