As an IoT Resident Engineer, you’ll be the trusted technical partner for some of our most important global customers, owning their IoT solutions once they’re live and ensuring they continue to perform at their best.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the single technical point of contact, building strong relationships with customers and working closely with teams across Vodafone to resolve issues, improve performance and deliver an outstanding service experience
Take responsibility for the day‑to‑day technical health of customer solutions, managing incidents, overseeing service levels and driving continuous improvement plans from idea through to completion
Translate complex technical topics into clear, meaningful conversations for customers, while also representing their needs internally and coordinating the right experts to deliver solutions
Play an important role in shaping the future of customer solutions — supporting account teams during renewals and pre‑sales conversations, identifying opportunities to enhance services, and ensuring contractual commitments are met
Keep customer documentation accurate and up to date, capture lessons learned, and help strengthen Vodafone’s Global IoT support capability for the long term
Requirements:
Experience working in a customer‑facing technical role, ideally supporting large or global organisations
Experience of direct customer engagements across all levels of the organization (pre-sales)
Strong knowledge of IoT connectivity and mobile networks (such as LTE, 5G and GSM), with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, protocols)
Confidence communicating complex technical topics clearly to a wide range of audiences, including senior and C‑level stakeholders
Proven ability to manage service delivery, SLAs and KPIs in a technology environment
A collaborative mindset, comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and external partners
A proactive, organised approach with the ability to stay calm and solution‑focused in high‑pressure situations
An interest in continuous improvement, innovation and developing your own skills as technology evolves
