The IoT Manufacturing Engineer supports U.S.-based production of connected hardware products, focusing on electronics and enclosure manufacturing. This role owns manufacturing execution, process design, and supplier coordination for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and plastic enclosures, working closely with operations leadership and external manufacturing partners. The position combines hands-on technical work with process development and offers a growth path toward manufacturing leadership responsibilities. This role is responsible for coordinating domestic manufacturing operations for IoT hardware, ensuring production readiness, quality, and alignment with deployment schedules. The position works across engineering, operations, and subcontract manufacturing partners to support new product introductions, ongoing production, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate U.S.-based manufacturing activities for IoT controllers and sensors, aligning production, testing, kitting, and inventory readiness with deployment schedules
Manage domestic subcontract manufacturers for printed circuit board assembly and plastic enclosure production, coordinating with procurement, engineering, and production teams to meet delivery timelines
Design and document manufacturing processes for electronics and enclosures, including production workflows, quality control checkpoints, and inspection criteria
Create, maintain, and update manufacturing documentation and bills of materials (BOMs) across product lines
Provide hands-on technical support during production, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and managing engineering change orders (ECOs)
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, supporting manufacturing partners during process ramp-up and early production builds
Support testing, debugging, and validation activities related to electronics assemblies, RF components, and power systems
Partner with operations leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and production scalability
