Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to help build the Sesame app that powers our next-generation wearable devices. From initial setup to account management, personalized experiences, FW OTA, and beyond, you will be instrumental to the architecture, design, and implementation of our iOS app that works best with Sesame’s wearable devices. You’ll work closely with design, firmware, and backend teams to create a seamless, delightful user experience that connects our hardware to the digital world.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build Sesame’s standalone companion app
  • Work with hardware/firmware teams to design and implement a seamless iOS user experience with Sesame’s wearable devices
  • Work with multiple teams across engineering, design, and product to ship complex projects
  • Work with other iOS, Android, and web engineers to define Sesame's mobile and web strategy
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and App Store release cycles

Requirements:

  • Strong intuition and deeply considered opinions about iOS app design and aesthetics
  • Passionate about the complex engineering involved in building lightning-fast, ergonomic, and innovative iOS UI
  • Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, Core Bluetooth, and Apple design guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
  • Experience building apps for IoT or wearable devices
  • Experience working with BT/BLE-enabled devices, and/or doing OTA firmware updates

Nice to have:

  • Always up to date on the latest iOS UI/UX design patterns
  • Lots of hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle of iOS apps: build trains, test strategy, and the latest UI architecture patterns
  • Experience working with iOS AccessorySetupKit
  • Experience in a startup or fast-moving product environment
