Job Responsibility:
Collaborate closely with Product, Design and other cross‑functional teams to shape and deliver rich customer experiences across Admiral’s iOS app
Champion the delivery of high‑quality code as a high‑performing engineer
Carry out thorough code reviews to ensure best practices, coding standards and design principles are followed
Work with backend teams to design and implement efficient APIs and interfaces
Stay on top of the latest iOS developments—proactively spotting opportunities to use new technologies and frameworks
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years in a startup environment or relevant experience
Proven experience as an iOS engineer, with a catalogue of Apps currently available in the App Store
Experience in a fast-paced, high performing engineering environment
Proven track record of successfully delivering and scaling iOS applications with a large user base
Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI and deep understanding of iOS frameworks and APIs
Strong experience with CI/CD & frequent release cadence
Ability to make informed technical decisions, considering factors such as performance, scalability, and user experience
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code as a part of a high performing team
Experience with cross-functional collaboration and a collaborative mindset towards achieving shared goals
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Have an interest in or experience with the TCA architecture
Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
Be comfortable operating in a scrappy environment, which will have you working deep in the code, but also reporting upwards simultaneously
What we offer:
33 days holiday (including bank holidays) when they join us, increasing the longer you stay with us, up to a maximum of 38 days (including bank holidays)
