Most finance jobs only show you one small piece of the puzzle bit this one gives you the bigger picture. As an Invoice Discounting Executive, you won’t just process paperwork or tick boxes all day. You’ll become the person who understands how businesses really operate behind the scenes. How cash flows, risk is managed, relationships are protected and ultimately, how commercial finance works in the real world. It’s a role where attention to detail genuinely matters and where judgement counts. The conversations you have can directly protect both clients and the business. You’ll manage your own portfolio of invoice discounting clients, overseeing month-end reconciliations and debt verification activity to make sure everything stacks up properly. But this isn’t simply admin work. You’ll speak directly with clients and their customers, investigate discrepancies, identify potential risks and ask the right questions when something doesn’t feel quite right. You’ll learn how to spot issues early, understand commercial behaviours and build relationships that go far beyond transactional finance. For the right person, it’s an incredibly valuable stepping stone into the wider world of commercial finance, risk or relationship management. You’ll also work closely with onboarding, risk and relationship teams, giving you exposure to multiple areas of the business and a far broader commercial understanding than most finance administration roles offer. And because every client operates differently, no two days are ever really the same. One day you could be helping onboard a growing business, the next you might be conducting detailed debt verification calls or supporting a client through reconciliation challenges. We’re looking for somebody who enjoys solving problems, asking questions and getting into the detail. Someone naturally organised who takes pride in accuracy, but who also enjoys building relationships and communicating with people. You might already have experience in: Invoice discounting; Credit control; Sales ledger or finance administration; Accounts receivable; Invoice finance; Banking or financial services operations. Or perhaps you’re already working within invoice finance and want a role with more exposure, more ownership and more opportunity to develop commercially. What’s important is that you’re curious, organised and confident enough to have conversations that uncover the full story behind the numbers.
