Job Responsibility

  • Build strong global deal flow pipeline and identify suitable investment targets: Source global deal flow pipeline through independent networking and market research, screen deal flow against W23 Global investment themes and criteria
  • identify suitable investment targets
  • Critically assess investment targets: Conduct in-depth analysis of market size & trends, industry dynamics, and drivers of change / growth, oversee due diligence data room and Q&A process
  • Prepare Investment Papers: Effectively synthesize analysis into crisp papers covering market assessment, competitive landscape, company assessment
  • Execute investment transaction: Conduct confirmatory due diligence and own deliverables of the due diligence process

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, mergers & acquisitions or transaction-focused corporate development
  • Demonstrable experience in leading & conducting the critical assessment of investment opportunities, commercial due diligence, developing investment cases and preparing relevant collateral
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating investment terms and conducting commercial due diligence
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on, leaving no stone unturned, but able to synthesize vast amounts of data into a clear investment case
  • Open-minded and curious thinker, looking to be challenged and seeking alternative viewpoints

Nice to have

International network and prior work experience outside of Australia is advantageous
