As a strategist for the Americas Index Equity Strategy team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Institutional Index business’ growth in the Americas. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and delivering the best of Index Equity and BlackRock. The team coordinates closely with other BlackRock investment and distribution teams to deliver integrated solutions to meet each institutional client’s unique needs. The responsibilities of the Strategy team span across product development, research, client service, product positioning, reporting, and education across Index Equity’s full offerings including commingled funds, separate accounts, mutual funds, and iShares. This individual will support domestic, international, and real estate equities, commodities, factors, and sustainable strategies across both Institutional and iShares channels.
Job Responsibility:
Provide ongoing service and support to Index Equity global clients and prospects
Build and maintain product marketing materials, client presentations, and customized analyses
Advise clients on all aspects of portfolio strategy including portfolio management, trading, transitions, and securities lending
Assist in the development of new product ideas
Form relationships with various BlackRock groups to support the Index Equity business
Work closely with business leaders within Index Equity and across BlackRock to identify commercial opportunities
Build and maintain consultative relationships with large pension, foundation, and endowment clients and prospects
Requirements:
BA/BS in Finance, Economics, similar field, or relevant experience
CFA or progress towards a CFA recommended
4+ years’ experience at a top financial institution, preferably within a large, integrated investment management firm in a client facing capacity
Demonstrated success in client service and an aptitude for business development in an institutional setting
The ability to build, grow and maintain strong relationships with diverse sets of internal and external clients
Ability to navigate, collaborate, and leverage resources within a large, complex financial services organization
Ability to influence and lead effectively across regions, functions, and teams without direct authority
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Role will require candidate to obtain regulatory licenses Series 7 and 63
